Before you start
AICKO IPTV is a video and audio player: it plays the streams of a subscription you already have. So have at hand the details your provider gave you, which come in one of two shapes:
- Xtream Codes — a server address (for example
http://example.com:8080), a username and a password; - M3U playlist — a single URL, usually ending in
.m3uor.m3u8.
If your provider offers both, prefer Xtream Codes: you will get the posters, the plots, the season structure and the programme guide. See Xtream Codes and M3U.
Three steps
Install the app
From the App Store, Google Play, the Windows installer or your television’s store. See the Download page.
Add your subscription
Choose Xtream Codes and enter server, username and password, or M3U and paste your URL.
On mobile, in detail
- Install the app from your device’s store.
- On opening, choose the connection type: Xtream Codes or M3U.
- Enter your details. Mind the server address: it usually carries a port number (the four digits after the colon) that must not be left out.
- Confirm. The catalogue downloads and is then kept in cache so later openings are instant.
On a Windows PC
- Download the installer from the Download page.
- Run the
.exefile. If SmartScreen gets in the way, choose More info then Run anyway. - Open the software and enter your subscription, as on mobile.
On television
- Install AICKO IPTV from the app store of your television or box.
- On opening, a six-digit code and a QR code appear.
- Scan the QR code with your phone, enter the code and then your credentials on the phone.
- The television connects on its own and loads your catalogue. See TV pairing.
Sign in with the same account on your various devices: favourites, playback progress and hidden categories will then be synced between them.
If something does not work
The catalogue stays empty after connecting
Check the server address first, and the port number in particular. Then make sure your subscription is still active: expired access returns an empty list rather than a clear error message.
A channel will not start
Try another channel. If all of them fail, the problem is with the subscription or the network; if only one is affected, that particular source is down at the provider’s end. Think of the number of simultaneous connections allowed too: once exceeded, it blocks playback.
The picture stutters
Quality depends on the stream sent and on your bandwidth. Try a channel at a lower definition, move closer to the Wi-Fi router, or switch to an Ethernet cable on the television.
The programme guide is empty
The EPG comes from your subscription, not from the app. If it is missing at the source, no player can show it. See Live TV and EPG.
None of this solves the problem
Write to us, saying which platform you use (iOS, Android, Windows or television), your connection type (Xtream Codes or M3U) and exactly what appears on screen.
Frequently asked questions
The questions we are asked most often about AICKO IPTV.
How do I set up an Xtream Codes subscription in AICKO IPTV?
Choose the Xtream Codes mode, then enter the server address your provider gave you (with its port number), your username and your password. Confirm: the catalogue loads.
How do I add an M3U playlist?
Choose the M3U mode and paste the full URL of your playlist, the one ending in .m3u or .m3u8. It must be reachable without any extra authentication.
The catalogue is empty after connecting — why?
The two usual causes are an incomplete server address (the port number left out) and an expired subscription, which returns an empty list with no error message. Check both with your provider.
How long does the setup take?
Count on less than five minutes. On television, pairing by code removes all typing with the remote and makes it quicker still.
Do I have to set the app up again on every device?
No, if you use the same account: your saved accounts, your favourites and your progress are synced.
