Tizen televisions
For Samsung televisions from 2018 onwards, running Tizen 4.0 or above — with the setup done on your phone.
Samsung televisions run Tizen, the brand’s own system. AICKO IPTV targets 2018 models and later, fitted with Tizen 4.0 or above. You will find your model’s year in its reference, in the television’s system information.
On an earlier model, the simplest answer is still an Android TV box or a Fire TV Stick plugged into HDMI.
The on-screen keyboard of Samsung televisions is driven entirely by the remote. Entering a server address, a username and a password there takes long minutes, and the smallest typo ends in a connection failure that is hard to diagnose. Pairing by code removes that step altogether.
The interface is the one built for the remote: arrow navigation, a focus halo in view at all times, labels legible from a distance. The EPG guide appears under each channel, and your favourites and progress arrive already filled in if you use the same account on your phone.
